About Wheels of Blessings

At Wheels of Blessings, we recognize our brothers and sisters for their inherent dignity. We seek out those who are hungry and unhoused and attempt to respectfully meet their immediate needs. We aspire to offer a moment of hope to those who may feel hopeless. 

Founded in 2023 By Sister Carolyn Mary Coll RSM, Wheels of Blessings has served hundreds of people in Gaston County. This endeavor began when, for her birthday, Sr. Carolyn Mary simply wanted to help the homeless in our local area. Within a month, her mission began.  She built a team who preps hundred of bags with sandwiches, fruit, chips, cold water as well as durable shoulder bags containing toiletries and needed items. Each month the team drives around Gaston County seeking to find and help those who may be in need. 

Our team is made up of individuals who are passionate about making a difference. Our many generous volunteers provide food, needed items and monetary donations. Our philosophy centers on "wheels" and "blessings." "Wheels": we seek out, we go to, those who may be in need. "Blessings":  All of us, the team, our volunteers and donors, see ourselves as mutually giving and receiving.  We believe that when one gives, one receives. When one receives, one gives.
